Supreme and Louis Vuitton

When I die, bury me inside the Louis store.

The rumored Supreme and Louis Vuitton collaboration is real. Yes, you read that right. No, we’re not trolling. The collab between America’s finest skate/streetwear brand and the French luxury titan is real, and was officially brought to the light of day during today’s Louis Vutton show in Paris.

And if there’s one thing we can say about the collaboration … it’s extensive. With everything from LV’s signature trunks to a box logo t-shirt to a myriad of accessories like driving gloves, keychains, baseball bats, and sunglasses, there’s something for everyone  who feels like getting their hands on a piece of streetwear history, as long as they don’t mind shelling out top dollar (this is LV after all, folks).

Louis Vuitton said in a press release that their partnership is ” a comprehensive, exhaustive voyage, through every stylistic facet that comprises New York”, and named Jean-Michael Basquiat and Andy Warhol as the main inspirations behind their collaborative line of goods. Their creative director Kim Jones also went on to gush about Supreme’s influence on the industry, stating that “You can’t have the conversation of New York men’s wear without Supreme right now, because it’s such a massive global phenomenon.”

And yes, before you go getting your Supreme boxer briefs in a bunch, there will be a box logo tee for all you box logo fanatics out there. With a simple red LV-monnogramed logo on a white t-shirt, it’s one of the cleaner pieces in the collection, and is shown above (along with some new LV x Supreme sunglasses) on Travis Scott.

The collection will begin rolling out on July 17th (just a few pieces at a time, in true Supreme fashion), and will only be available at Louis Vuitton stores. There have been rumors of pop-up shops that carry the collection opening as well, but Louis Vuitton hasn’t made an official statement on the pop-ups yet. Stay tuned as we’ll be posting more news as soon as it’s available.  Here’s an early product list, courtesy of Highsnobiety’s Alec Leach.
